Nemophila menziesii 'Penny Black' blooms in early summer with compact plants smothered in 1" violet-black flowers edged in white. Unique color!

Nemophila 'Penny Black' grows quickly from an early spring sowing, making it a good bulb cover. Try it near the front of the border, in a rockery, or at the edge of a path. It's an excellent choice for containers and hanging baskets.

Nemophila menziesii is a native California wildflower. It prefers the cool temperatures of spring, and it performs well in full sun to part shade with regular watering. It self sows where it's happy.

Also known as Baby Blue Eyes, Nemophila discoidalis 'Pennie Black', and Nemophila insignis var. menziesii 'Pennie Black'.
