Penny Black nemophila blooms in early summer with compact plants that are smothered in 1" violet-black flowers edged in white. Unique color!
Nemophila 'Penny Black' grows quickly from an early spring sowing, making it a good bulb cover. Try it near the front of the border, in a rockery, or at the edge of a path. It's an excellent choice for containers and hanging baskets. Nemophila menziesii 'Penny Black' is a native California wildflower. It prefers the cool temperatures of spring, and it performs well in full sun to part shade with regular watering. It self sows where it's happy.
