Winter Chervil
(Anthriscus cerefolium)
130 seeds $3.00
Winter Chervil has feathery green leaves with a sweet anise flavor. It is related to parsley, but it tastes more like fennel. The leaves make a lovely garnish. They are also used in chicken, fish and egg dishes where other herbs would be too strong. It is best used fresh, as it loses flavor when dried.
Winter Chervil grows best in the cool weather of spring. It can be sown in succession until early summer. It originated in southern Russia. 60 days.
