Sowing Verbascum Seeds

Start verbascum seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow on the surface, pressing the seeds into the soil. Full sun to part shade.  Spacing 12".

Verbascum phoeniceum 'Violetta' starts blooming in late spring, at a time when every flower counts. The violet-purple flowers appear daily, blooming their way up the tall stems. The dark green leaves form a flat, basal rosette.

Verbascum phoeniceum 'Violetta' self sows lightly, or you can deadhead it for repeat blooming. Deer resistant.
