HomeTomato 'Red Boar' is a fabulous striped tomato. It beats the pants off Red Zebra for flavor. The skin is bright red with yellow-green stripes. The medium-size, round fruits weigh 3-4 ounces. Earliness and high productivity make it a terrific main-crop variety for canning.
Tomato 'Red Boar' was introduced by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms. It is a color mutation from Green Zebra.
Sowing Red Boar Tomato Seeds
Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
