HomeBrown Sugar tomato: Early production...beautiful color...delicious flavor. This is one nice tomato. Brown Sugar produces lots of medium-size, round, purple-brown fruits. The dark red interior has a rich flavor with none of that muddy taste that is the bane of some black tomatoes. It is more sweet than tangy, but not overly sweet.
Tomato 'Brown Sugar' is a commercial Russian variety. It was first introduced to the U.S. by Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.
Sowing Brown Sugar Tomato Seeds
Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
