Sucrine du Berry is a small butternut squash that weighs 3-6 pounds. The dark green skin turns coppery-tan when ripe, although it may still retain some green, which is fine.
The deep orange, sweet flesh is good for many recipes, especially those that call for pureed squash. Storage life is up to 6 months. The vines are pest and disease resistant.
French heirloom. See this video for the history.
