Rudbeckia 'Indian Summer' is a classic Black-Eyed Susan with large flowers up to 9" wide. They have golden-yellow petals that radiate outward from a small, brown cone. It's like a ray of sunshine in the garden.

Rudbeckia hirta 'Indian Summer' makes a fantastic, long-lasting cut flower. In the garden, it looks good with many perennials, annuals and ornamental grasses. The flowers attract beneficial insects.

Rudbeckia 'Indian Summer' is a tall, vigorous variety that blooms quickly from seed. It keeps going until late autumn. It was an All-America Selections winner in 1995. It was given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 2000.

Rudbeckia hirta is a North American native wildflower. It is a host plant for Painted Lady and Silvery Checkerspot butterfly larvae. Hardy biennial in zones 4-9. Deer resistant.
