Sowing Polemonium Seeds

Polemonium 'Purple Rain' is the first Jacob's Ladder to bloom in spring, appearing with the late daffodils and continuing with Allium 'Purple Sensation'.

Polemonium caeruleum ssp. yezoense 'Purple Rain' was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 2006. It has large, violet-blue flowers and finely cut bronze foliage. The species is native to North Japan. Hardy in zones 4-9.
