Nasturtium 'Empress of India' has the deepest coloring of any nasturtium. The scarlet-red flowers glow against the deep blue-green leaves. The compact plants are perfect for containers and hanging baskets.
Don't fertilize or overwater nasturtiums, or you'll get lots of leaves and few flowers. Nasturtiums can tolerate drought and poor soil. It has a long bloom season, and it's easy to grow. Deer resistant.
