Serpente di Sicilia is an edible gourd with light green, slender fruits that are best picked at 12-15" long. The mild flavor is similar to zucchini. Very productive, especially at the end of the season.
The vigorous vines have soft fuzzy leaves and delicate white flowers. They make a beautiful covering for a fence or pergola. The plants are not bothered by squash vine borer or other pests.
Also known as Cucuzzi, Serpent of Sicily, and Sicilian Snake Gourd.
