Calendula officinalis 'Indian Prince'

Indian Prince calendula is an heirloom flower from the 1930's. The two-tone flowers have deep orange petals with mahogany-red backs.

The rich orange color of Calendula 'Indian Prince' is stunning in the garden or the vase, especially, when combined with other rich colors like jewel-tone blue, purple or red. It contrasts beautifully with white flowers. Indian Prince is a favorite calendula of Sarah Raven, author of The Bold and Brilliant Garden.

Calendula 'Indian Prince' is a self-sowing annual that is easy to grow.  It attracts butterflies and beneficial insects. The flower petals are edible. The tall stems are perfect for cutting.

Also known as English Marigold and Pot Marigold. Deer resistant.
