Basil 'Sasklavi'

Sasklavi basil is a traditional Georgian variety that is prized for its perfumed flavor that holds well when dried. It has green leaves and dark purple bracts with pale pink flowers.
The dried leaves are an essential ingredient in a Georgian spice blend called khmeli suneli. We've never smelled another basil with this same fragrance. Now it's time to try some new recipes!
