Aquilegia nevadensis has nodding, purple-blue flowers that bloom from May to June. The spurs are incurved, giving it a unique appearance.
Aquilegia nevadensis is native to southern Spain, so it's not as cold hardy as some columbine species. It makes a nice addition to the rock garden or the front of the border. Hardy in zones 5-9.
