HomeTim's Black Ruffles tomato is truly unique. It looks somewhat like the old heirloom, Purple Calabash, but the flavor is infinitely better - rich, smoky and well-balanced. The 8-10 ounce, garnet-purple fruits are deeply pleated. They are produced in abundance.
Tomato 'Tim's Black Ruffles' is a cross between Black Krim and Zapotec Pink Pleated. A rare and wonderful variety. One of my favorite tomatoes.
Sowing Tim's Black Ruffles Tomato Seeds
Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
