Tomato 'Amazon Chocolate'

'Amazon Chocolate' is the best-tasting black tomato I've ever grown, with a rich and complex flavor. The medium-sized fruits average 8 ounces. They are deep reddish brown and gorgeous when sliced. This is the first tomato I reach for when I have several varieties to choose from at the dinner table. It is also a customer favorite.

Tomato 'Amazon Chocolate' is moderately productive, continually producing delicious fruits until frost. The history of this open-pollinated variety is unknown.

Sowing Tomato Seeds

Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
