Silene armeria is an annual wildflower, native to Europe. The vivid pink clusters of flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Silene armeria is drought tolerant and easy to grow, making it a good choice for difficult spots where more color is needed. Siline armeria reseeds enough that some people consider it invasive. But it's not a problem for me because I have so many other self-sowing annuals that they compete with each other. It's definitely not the heaviest reseeder in my garden.
Also known as None-so-Pretty and Sweet William Catchfly.
