HomeSalvia 'Twilight Serenade' is a bushy plant with many spikes of deep violet-blue flowers. It blooms in May and June, and it repeat blooms if deadheaded. It's a first-year flowering perennial.
Salvia 'Twilight Serenade' attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. It makes a great cut flower. The wrinkled leaves are also interesting. It works well in the middle of the border with other early summer-blooming perennials. It makes a wonderful companion plant for Oriental poppies.
Salvia pratensis 'Twilight Serenade' (Ballet Series) was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 2008. Also known as Meadow Clary Sage. Deer resistant. Hardy in zones 3-9.
