Rudbeckia 'Cherokee Sunset' is a tall mixture with single to double flowers, many of which are bicolors. The flowers include shades of gold, yellow, bronze, orange, brown and mahogany-red.
Cherokee Sunset rudbeckia is a fabulous variety. I've grown it in beds and in large pots. It blooms prolifically through July and August, and it's not bothered by the heat, as long as it gets enough water.
Black-Eyed Susan attracts many beneficial insects. In my garden, it was visited by tiny green bees, which were fun to watch.
Rudbeckia hirta is a self-sowing, hardy biennial in zones 4-9. Deer resistant.
