Dianthus barbatus 'Flora Pearl Appleblossom'

Flora Pearl Appleblossom is just the prettiest Sweet William I've ever seen. It blooms from late spring to midsummer with blush pink and cream flowers.

This variety is early-blooming, compact, and floriferous, making it a good choice for the front of the border. Sweet William prefers full sun, but my plants did fine in part shade.

Dianthus barbatus is an easy-to-grow biennial or short-lived perennial. Deer resistant. Hardy in zones 3-9.

Sowing Dianthus 'Flora Pearl Appleblossom' Seeds

Start Sweet William seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Or sow outdoors after the last frost. Barely cover the seeds with soil. Full sun. Well-drained soil. I recommend starting the seeds indoors since there are fewer seeds in a packet than with our other varieties.
