Penstemon pinifolius has fiery orange-red flowers that bloom from June to August, attracting bees and hummingbirds.

Pineleaf Penstemon is named for its needle-like, evergreen foliage that provides year-round interest. It's nice in the rock garden or at the front of the border. It is drought tolerant and deer resistant.

Penstemon pinifolius is native to New Mexico and Arizona. It's a great plant for xeriscaping. It won an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Hardy perennial in zones 4-9.
