Myosotis sylvatica is a mainstay of the spring garden. It begins blooming with the daffodils and continues with the spring-blooming shrubs.

Myosotis sylvatica makes a lovely, self-sowing groundcover for part shade. It enjoys being in the filtered shade underneath shrubs. It's not overly fussy, but it prefers rich, moist soil.

Forget-me-not is one of the truest blue flowers. The tiny flowers are sky-blue with a circle of white or yellow at the center. They attract beneficial insects. The plants provide food for American Lady butterfly larvae.

Myosotis sylvatica is a biennial or short-lived perennial. Allow it to self sow, or pull up the plants when they go to seed, and shake them over the ground wherever you want more plants in the future. Hardy in zones 3-9.
