Cheiranthus cheiri has long stems, making it a popular cut flower. It's a good choice for rock gardens, borders and containers. It prefers well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It's easy to grow, and it self sows where it's happy.

Wallflowers are usually grown as biennials with the seeds being direct sown in June to August for bloom the following spring. Or start it indoors in late winter for fall blooming. It blooms in about 80 days.
