This unique heirloom watermelon grows to 24" long and 10" wide, weighing 25 to 35 lbs. It has a long, cylindrical shape and greenish-grey skin. The red flesh is crisp and non-stringy.

Charleston Gray is a disease resistant variety introduced in 1954 by the Southeastern Vegetable Breeding Laboratory of Charleston, South Carolina.
