I just adore violas. They have self sown in my garden for many years. The miniature pansy flowers bloom from spring to fall with purple, lavender and yellow faces.
Viola 'Helen Mount' is a short-lived perennial. The flowers are edible, which makes it a perfect addition to the herb garden. Hardy in zones 4-9.
