Verbascum 'Violetta' blooms in late spring through early summer, at a time when every flower counts. The violet-purple flowers appear daily, blooming their way up the tall stems. The dark green leaves form a flat, basal rosette.
Plant Verbascum 'Violetta' wherever you need a vertical accent. It may bloom the first year from seed if started early indoors. Nice for cutting.
Verbascum phoeniceum 'Violetta' self sows lightly, or you can deadhead it for repeat blooming. Also known as Purple Mullein. Deer resistant. Hardy perennial in zones 4-8.
