This is the largest tomato I've ever grown. The bright red, heart-shaped fruits weigh up to 2 pounds. They are tender, meaty, flavorful, and truly delicious. Surpisingly early for such a large fruit. This is the tomato that haunts your dreams in the winter.
Sunset's Red Horizon was brought to the United States by Nik Peplenov, who immigrated in 1999 from the Rostov Don region of Russia. It was named by Gary Ibsen for Sunset magazine in 2003.
