Tomato 'Opalka'
Heirloom Tomato 'Opalka'

Similar to Polish Linguisa in looks and use. This is an excellent variety for making sauce or eating fresh. The 5" long, 3" wide fruits have a pointy tip and grow in clusters. They are meaty with few seeds.

Opalka was brought from Poland to New York around 1900. This variety has wispy foliage, but it's very productive. Tomato expert, Dr. Carolyn Male, says that this is her favorite out of 10 similar-looking varieties.
