This large, cracked, brownish-pink tomato isn't much to look at, but it's one of the best-tasting tomatoes I have ever grown. The flavor is sweet and rich, with a fine texture, comparable to Cherokee Purple. Weighs 8-14 oz.
JD's Special C-Tex was late to ripen in my garden, but it was worth waiting for. It is believed to be a cross between Brandywine and an unknown black tomato, stabilized by JD Whitaker of Conroe, TX.
