This is an open-pollinated version of the popular hybrid variety, Sungold. It was selected by Reinhard Kraft of Germany. The fruits are large cherry size with a glowing orange color and a sweet flavor with just a bit of tang.
Big Sungold Select is very productive. But it's not a very stable variety. I ended up with some red-fruited plants. But I only saved seeds from the orange ones.
