This amazing tomato was bred by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms. He describes it as "about as far as I have gotten from a round, red, tasteless tomato."
Berkeley Tie Dye Heart is a productive variety with yellow-green and red stripes. The stripes have a fascinating, iridescent look, and the interior is a rainbow of colors. The flavor is a combination of spicy, sweet and tart. Each fruit is unique. Some are oddly shaped or blocky-round, and others are heart shaped. I predict that it will be a famous heirloom 50 years from now.
