Purple Meadow Rue gets its name from the deep purple color of the emerging spring foliage. The leaves turn to blue-green when mature. It blooms in early summer with clouds of white flowers on tall stems.
Thalictrum dasycarpum likes average to moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Also known as Purple Meadowrue. Hardy in zones 3-8.
