This heirloom squash produces small, 1-3 pound fruits with cream-colored skin and green stripes. The yellow-orange flesh is fine-textured and very sweet. This may be the tastiest squash on the market. One squash serves two to four people for dinner.
Delicata squash was introduced in 1894 by Peter Henderson and Co. It's not a long-storing variety, but it will keep for a couple of months.
