Silene armeria

Silene armeria is an annual wildflower, native to Europe. The vivid pink clusters of flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

Silene armeria is drought tolerant and easy to grow, making it a good choice for difficult spots where more color is needed.

Siline armeria reseeds enough that some people consider it invasive. But it's not a problem for me because I have so many other self-sowing annuals that they compete with each other. It's definitely not the heaviest reseeder in my garden.

Also known as None-so-Pretty and Sweet William Catchfly.
