Roses are among my favorite plants. Even though this website focuses on flower seeds, I want to include my beloved roses.
I'm especially fond of old-fashioned style roses like David Austin's wonderful creations. My first consideration when buying a rose is disease resistance. I use organic gardening methods, and I give my roses a good start in life by digging a "big hole", as recommended by John Clements of Heirloom Roses. His roses come with excellent instructions for planting and fertilizing. All of my roses were purchased from Heirloom Roses.
