Jacob's ladder 'Blue Whirl' has lavender-blue flowers on tall stems above ferny foliage. It blooms in late spring to early summer, and it repeat blooms if deadheaded.

Jacob's ladder is one of the few shade-tolerant plants that can be easily grown from seed. Hardy in zones 4-8.
