Obedient plant is a North American wildflower that blooms in late summer. The light pink, tubular flowers can be pushed around on the stem with your finger, hence its common name.
Physostegia virginiana spreads rapidly and is very invasive in a small garden. It is best suited to a semi-wild garden. It tolerates drought and poor soil. Hardy in zones 3-10.
