This open-pollinated pepper from Russia was the first one to ripen in my garden in 2006. The plants produce 4" long, wedge-shaped fruits with a sweet flavor. They ripen to deep red.
Because of its earliness and good production, Healthy pepper is a fine choice for gardeners with short growing seasons. Introduced to the USA in 1993 by Seed Savers Exchange.
