If you're looking for a mildly hot pepper, this is a great one. The fruits are
3-4" long and shaped like a jalapeno. But they only have a little heat. They eventually ripen from black to red.
Black Hungarian peppers are also ornamental. They have pretty, purple flowers, and the green leaves are veined with purple. The black fruits hang attractively on tall plants.
