Evening Primrose

This unusual evening primrose has yellow-orange flowers that fade to maroon red. It's a relatively short variety that looks good near the front of the border.
Oenothera 'Sunset Boulevard' is not always hardy, so it's best grown as an annual. Give it well-drained soil in a warm location. It blooms the first year from seed, and it self sows. Hardy in zones 5-9.
