This beautiful evening primrose blooms in early summer with soft yellow flowers that age to peachy red. The fragrant flowers open in the evening, staying open until the following afternoon. 

Oenothera 'Lemon Sunset' needs well-drained soil, and it looks stunning with other drought-tolerant plants like Atlas poppy, penstemons, blue flax, and Salvia transylvanica.

This short-lived perennial blooms the first year from seed, if started early indoors, and it usually reseeds. Also known as Oenothera odorata. Hardy in zones 5-9.
