Chilean Bellflower
(Nolana paradoxa, Nolana napiformis)
I can never resist the color blue. These trumpet-shaped, sky-blue flowers have yellow throats with a white ring. They fade to lavender-blue, which gives the plant a nice, two-tone effect.
Nolana paradoxa is a tender perennial, hardy in zones 9-10. It's grown as an annual elsewhere. This trailing plant is recommended for hanging baskets or for weaving through other plants at the border's edge.
