This heirloom flower has bell-shaped, green bracts all along the branching stems. It starts blooming in mid summer from an early spring or fall sowing and continues until hard frost.

Bells of Ireland isn't the first plant you notice in a flower garden, but it makes   a nice filler around more colorful blooms. It's especially nice with bright blue flowers like Centaurea 'Blue Boy' or Delphinium 'Blue Butterfly'.

Sowing Molucella laevis Seeds:
Sow outdoors in fall or early spring. If sowing in spring, freeze the seed packet for 5 days, then soak the seeds overnight. Barely cover with soil. Full sun to part shade. Self sows.
