As gardeners, we are deeply indebted to the Amish community for preserving so many wonderful heirloom vegetables. This Amish melon is another example of their fine work.
The melons are 8-9" long and weigh 4-7 lb. They have a wonderful, sweet and juicy flavor, and the plants are quite productive.
