Night scented stock isn't very showy, but it has been grown by generations of gardeners for its pale lavender flowers that open in the evening, releasing a light, sweet fragrance.
Night scented stock is traditionally tucked in with other flowers near the house. Try mixing it with Virginia stock to enjoy both beauty and fragrance. It's a nice addition to pots on the patio. Also known as Evening Scented Stock and Matthiola longipetala.
