French Hollyhock, Zebra Mallow

Malva 'Zebrina' is a popular heirloom with pale pink flowers striped purple. It blooms the first year from seed, so it can be grown as an annual where it's not hardy.
This is one of those plants that I can't make up my mind about. I love it when it's in bloom, but I hate it when I'm pulling up the many self-sown seedlings. But it's too lovely to exterminate. Cut the plants back for repeat bloom and to reduce self sowing. Hardy in zones 5-9.
