Sowing Eryngium amethystinum, bourgatii and yuccifolium Seeds:
Sow outdoors in fall, 1/8" deep. To sow indoors: place in a damp paper napkin inside a plastic bag and refrigerate for 4 weeks or more (up to 12 weeks for amethystinum and yuccifolium). Then sow in pots. Full sun.
Sowing Eryngium giganteum Seeds:
Direct sow outdoors in late summer or fall. Barely cover the seeds. Needs fluctuating temperatures to germinate and cannot be started indoors. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Self sows.
