Sowing Eryngium giganteum Seeds:
Direct sow outdoors in late summer or fall. Barely cover the seeds. Needs fluctuating temperatures to germinate. Cannot be started indoors. Very slow
to germinate. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Self sows.
Sowing Other Eryngium Seeds:
Place in a damp paper napkin inside a plastic bag and refrigerate for 4 weeks or more (up to 12 weeks for Eryngium amethystinum and yuccifolium). Then sow indoors, barely covering the seeds. Full sun.
