Dianthus superbus 'Crimsonia'
Dianthus 'Crimsonia' has feathery, crimson-red flowers with a spicy fragrance from May to August. The narrow, blue-green foliage is evergreen. Dianthus superbus 'Crimsonia' makes a great addition to the cottage garden. It blooms the first year from seed if started early indoors. It may repeat bloom if cut back after the first flush is over. It's a lovely cut flower.
Also known Dianthus superbus 'Red', Fringed Pink and Superb Pink. The flower petals are edible. Hardy perennial in zones 3-8.
