Dianthus 'Siberian Blues'
Dianthus amurensis 'Siberian Blues'
Dianthus 'Siberian Blues' is not really blue, but a nice shade of lavender-purple. The upright, bushy plants bloom for a long time in mid summer.
Dianthus amurensis is nice in cool color schemes. Mine are planted at the edge of an old-fashioned rose garden. Combine this pretty dianthus with white flowers to make the color really pop.
Deer resistant. Hardy perennial in zones 3-8.
Sowing Dianthus amurensis Seeds:
Sow indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Barely cover the seeds. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Spacing 12".
