Cup & Saucer Vine
Cup and Saucer Vine, Cathedral Bells
(Cobaea scandens)

Cup and Saucer vine grows rapidly up to 20' when given a warm spot in full sun. The large, greenish flowers mature to deep purple.

Plant Cobaea scandens on a south-facing wall or other warm spot. It blooms late (14-16 weeks after sowing), so it's best started early indoors. Pinch the vines back for bushy growth. Do not fertilize. Hardy in zones 9-11.

Sowing Cobaea scandens Seeds:
Soak seeds for 2 hours, then sow indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date. Lay the seeds on their sides, and barely cover with soil. Laying the seeds flat will cause them to rot. Full sun. Moist, well-drained soil.
