South African Foxglove
(Ceratotheca triloba)
Also known as Zimbabwe foxglove, this rare annual has tall, leafy stems with light lavender blooms that are shaped like foxglove flowers.
African Foxglove is easy to grow, and it's lovely at the back of the border. If desired, the plants can be kept shorter by pinching them back before they start blooming.
Ceratotheca triloba is hardy in zones 9-10, but it's grown as an annual elsewhere.
